The aim of conservation works was to restore the artistic value of the work along with its proper exhibition function. The scope of works encompassed the restoration of the original vertical combination of elements of the object, the creation of a telescopic assembly system allowing for the reintegration of the Column with a Ram, the thorough cleaning of constituent surfaces of the composition, the removal of layers and secondary cement supplements resulting in the partial restoration of original colours, the reconstruction of missing part of the decoration necessary for the correct interpretation of presented sculpting forms, and the rebuilding of the stone facing that serves as a sort of background for the monument.
