The design of objects with materials and techniques is an attempt to build new associations with traditional crafting techniques. Familiarisation with techniques and exploiting the properties of materials became a starting point for seeking a form and function, unlike in a traditional design process. In this way, a chair upholstered with hand-embroidered fabric, a steel cabinet with curved glazings, an ash table with an inlay top and glazed porcelain lampshades were created. The use of modern forms and tools gives new senses to objects and does not deprive them of values attributed to traditional craft products. The laborious manufacturing process is reflected by the method of their use, which requires carefulness, celebration of the ageing process or acceptance of traces that the user leaves on them.
