A film about a pedantic animator, who leads an ordered life, commuting only between her home and work. Listless, she increasingly isolates herself from the outside world, until she finds a sheep picture, which in an absurd series of events yanks her free from her apathy.
“SHEEP OUT” is a symbolic story of confronting fear and stepping out of the comfort zone, loosely inspired by the book “A Wild Sheep Chase” by Haruki Murakami. The animation is a digital stop-motion animation, eight minutes long, and is based on the action-adventure genre.
The score for the animation was written entirely by Gaikovski. One of the soundtrack themes is a renewed piece by the Hc punk band Jesubo, performed in collaboration with my dad Wojciech Klamka (guitar) and Piotr Skorupa (bass). The other music pieces were inspired by new-romantic sounds of the 1980s and based on the intrinsic style of that decade. The magic of analogue synthesisers and simple, catchy tunes complement the animation and form a coherent whole.
