In my MA minor degree, I analyse social choreography as a category inseparably connected with social life, which has attracted attention quite recently as one of the most important factors of the construction of a political and cultural community. Examining relations between bodies in public space, I juxtapose the Great Dionysia with contemporary techno events and mass choreographies in the service of totalitarianism with spontaneous street demonstrations. I take a closer look at the role of sound, radio and social media in the performative aspect of the protest. This topic is close to my practice as a DJ and an organiser of benefit events for the support of persons with a refugee experience. Thanks to my involvement in collective grassroots initiatives, I found out that a collective movement can be a tool of resistance and emancipation.
