My self-portrait combines the elements of acting, comedy and parody. Self-portraits bring up topics about which I would prefer not to talk aloud, but which recur more or less conspicuously in works being created. These topics are displaced or pushed outside the reach of adequate words, falling within the sphere of daydreams and the real world in dreams.
Self-portraits are my means of expression; they speak about me and, speaking for me, they are the result of an inseparable whole of the artist.
In my self-portraits, I use animalistic elements, attributes, symbols, characteristics taken from the kingdom of animals, plants, insects and reptiles. Both internally and externally I realise that I am part of a larger whole. I treat nature as an immeasurable inspiration and an infinite source of ideas.
