Fashion seems to promote diversity and functions in the context of art. However, it still feeds on simplifications – most often it is the unambiguous definition of belonging.
My degree piece starts with reflections on identity and the process of its formation. Reading the interviews with the Italian-Australian philosopher Rosi Braidotti enabled me to think about my own identity in a different manner that does not demand contents, and to perceive myself in the process of constant becoming. I focused my attention on nuances interpreted in the design process of works. I completed my design using the language of materials and forms, one which I personally find sufficient and the most reliable. In my degree piece I assumed the role of an observer whose reactions depend on the variability of factors. The entire process became the content of the degree piece.
