The figures come from various workshops producing Neapolitan nativity scenes. They are multilayer structures made with a range of materials and techniques. The aim of this project was to stop the destructive processes and restore their aesthetic value, if possible. The work plan focused on the individual style of each of the figures, their condition, and the fact that they are currently displayed in a single scene. The interdisciplinarity of the performed procedures helped improve the conservation skills in terms of textiles, as well as other materials, such as paper, wood, and polychrome pottery.
