The stimulus to create the stage and costume designs was the subject of struggling with depression tackled in an unusual way by Susan Sontag in her novel “Death Kit”. The author describes the protagonist’s attempted suicide, then his coma, which transforms into a visionary/real world full of contradictions.
For me, the key was the background events, which are a kind of information overload, as well as the multiplicity of invasive images of reality. I wanted the background to be perceptible in the spatial design, which is why it includes a variety of media outlets in the form of screens. Spaces become labyrinths on the verge of reality and dream.

The aim of “Project 21” is to illustrate the experience of social and cultural reality from the beginning of the 21st century. In my perspective, it is becoming ever more chaotic. One of the symptoms of changes is the fragmentation of information with an overabundance of images.
In my projects, I first of all focus on the human figure, often in motion, multiplied, presented in a crowd. This results from my everyday experience of city life.
