Born 1994. Studies: English Philology at the University of Warsaw (2013–2016); Film School in Łódź (2017–2019); Faculty of Media Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2021–2024). Rector’s award for the MA degree (2024). Scholarship of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts (2023/2024). She focuses on relief, video, drawing, poetry and performance. Participant of group exhibitions. In 2023, she created the group performance Water landing in the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
A nap is a caricature of sleep, a shallow, intermediate state between sleep and wakefulness. The series of objects and plaster reliefs that I presented in my diploma exhibition is an attempt to describe this experience and its liminal nature. Time figures – clocks, alarm clocks, and pendulums – as well as surreal sceneries, recreate a distorted world seen through half-closed eyelids. The video transmission shows a relief hanging nearby, mimicking the mechanism of a dream. All the works are exhibited in silence and dim light – as if in a museum of an ongoing nap.

In the video A Nap, my minor, I show the perspective of a sleeping person weighed down by the passing of time. The alarm clock, hanging in the corner of the frame, dictatorially counts down the seconds to waking, while simultaneously hypnotizing and lulling with its pendulum-like motion.
