The starting point for my project was an attempt to talk about the current situation of the Uyghurs in the People’s Republic of China. The works that make up the degree piece and the minor degree were created in response to the fact that approx. 20% of global cotton production is a result of the Uyghurs’ slave labour in China’s Xinjiang Province.
The degree piece consists of 14 posters referring to a common but unnoticeable element of clothing—tags. Their economical form and informative function inspired the choice of the scale and means of expression of the project.
