Description
In his intimate work The Birds, Vesaas sketches a psychological portrait of Mattis—a man endowed with unusual sensitivity to the phenomena of nature. The deeply emotional reception of the text led me to create a theatrical space reflecting the protagonist’s disturbed perception. The visual interpretation of The Birds aims at a synthesis of the harsh landscape with the mind saturated with obsessions, which is embodied by figures from the borderline of scenography and animated matter.

Description
The Dormant Memory is an autobiographical settlement with the memory of childhood and the family home. Textile casts of anthropomorphic silhouettes symbolise the souls of deformed bodies sewn into fabric, which remain only a shadow and a dreamy breath of memory. They are monuments to what is lost and irreversible.
