In the compositions I create, the most important thing is their visual layer and there is no point in looking for an alternate meaning in them. The works stand in contrast to art with a broad and elaborate mythology; they are painting exercises for the sheer fun of it. They reflect my peace of mind and enjoyment of the act of creation. Through a synthesis of shapes, I can focus on what is most important to me in a painting: the search for intriguing colour ranges. The reproduction of the same shape is to draw attention to the beauty captured in the simplicity of forms, which are the main building material of my paintings. I treat colour and form as the most important content of my works. The series is therefore a visualisation of the love of painting and, in particular, a fondness for reducing it to its basic, simplest aspects.
